De winter op Maui is echt een magische tijd. We mogen onze parttime bewoners, de bultruggen, weer verwelkomen! Tijd doorbrengen met deze vriendelijke reuzen in hun natuurlijke habitat is een ervaring die je nooit zult vergeten. Onze Kayak Whale Watch & Snorkel Tours zijn zonder twijfel de beste manier om deze majestueuze wezens te ontmoeten. De kajaks brengen ons op het niveau van de walvis, waardoor we de walvissen kunnen horen ademen en zelfs kunnen zingen. Babybultruggen of kalfjes zijn buitengewoon nieuwsgierig en staan erom bekend dat ze er goed in zijn, zolang mama maar niet te streng is. Zodra je denkt dat de ochtend niet beter kan worden, gaan we terug naar de kustlijn waar we snorkelen en zwemmen met Hawaiiaanse groene zeeschildpadden. This was a wonderful kayak, whale watching and snorkeling trip. Everything was perfect, our guide was very knowlegable and prepared. We had one person that was worried about snorkeling. She was very kind and patient with him so he could also snorkel with no worries. I would recomment Tropical Guides & Outfitters 100%. Thank you for a wondferful experience. I would do this again!
Active adventure and great snorkeling with turtles for the whole family

My family of 4 and me had a great time with Chris. We started with kayaking to look for whales. While only teenage daughter saw a whale, we learned a lot about the area from Chris. Then, we went onto the snorkeling with giant sea turtles. This was a magical moment and we were face-to-face with many of these amazing creatures. Highly recommend this excursion for active adventurers!

Best tour I’ve ever been on. It was well worth the money and getting up early in the AM. Jason our guide was super knowledgeable and made it very easy. My Gf never kayaked before and she had no problem on this tour. Hearing and seeing the whales was incredible. Supposed to stay 100 yards away but i think we got closer than that. We added the snorkel package and got to see turtles, an octopus and hella fish. Book the private tour like we did. Its well worth the extra money.

This is a once in a lifetime experience - I loved having a personal tour guide helping make me feel confident on the waters as a first time kayaker and someone to give me and my husband some history on the land, sea and marine life! It was my goal to swim with a sea turtle and I swam with over 10. The fact that they take photos of your journey for you so you can have fun the whole time was a major plus, we got the photos a couple hours after and we’re so excited by them. Erica was the best tour guide! Thank you so much for an amazing memory

The private tour is well worth it! Sitting above a lone "singer" was amazing! We were able to hear him singing while we searched for a glimpse of him below the surface. And then we saw him surface. We also had two whales come within 40 yards of our kayaks. Such a unique experience to be out on the big blue in man powered craft with these amazing creatures. Lowe's knowledge and obvious love of the ocean, whales and history enriched the trip. Highly recommend this trip!

I can’t say how highly I recommend this tour. Chris was an amazing guide and made the experience so enjoyable and special. He gave great tips for kayaking, snorkeling, and just enjoying time in Maui. I also learned much more about whales and other ocean life than I expected. And of course, seeing a ton of whales from our kayak was awesome. If you wanna have a great time in Maui, book this tour with Chris.

Chris was awesome! He provided al lot of information and was was super chill. We had whales 360. Almost did not snorkel just to take in all the whales. But Chris gave us a little extra time to snorkel a bit. Swam with a monk seal and turtles, along with lots of fish. I will definitely go out with Chris the next time we come back to the island. Worth every dime!

This was the highlight of our trip to Maui! We were lucky to have Xavier as a guide, appreciated his patience, knowledge, and kindness. We felt safe the entire time and his excitement made it even more fun for us. We also lucked out to be on the water on what he called the most active day of the season. It was truly amazing to be so close to humpback whales. The snorkeling spot was worth it, as well. These pictures will be framed! Note: For those booking as a "Guest" on Trip Advisor (without an account), the location message may not forward to your email. There was no cell service for our provider in the launch area. We were able to drive up the road and call for help finding the location. Thanks again!

I highly suggest making time for this!! We booked last minute and I am very thankful we did.
We got really lucky getting so close to the whales. It was a surreal experience getting so close to something that large. Our tour guide Javier was born and raised in Maui and it was awesome having his knowledge out on the water. Most of the time in our kayaks was spent a couple hundred yards from the whales diving in and out of the water. When they would appear, we would paddle in that direction and try and predict where they would come out again to get a little closer. We had two very lucky and rare encounters where the whales came right at us. We stayed dead still for a minute as they were coming in our direction and they went right under us and popped out within 20’ of our kayaks. Unbelievable!!! See photo below.
It was a beautiful morning, got exercise kayaking, saw 30 or so whales, snorkeled along some beautiful reefs, and had amazing views out on the water the entire time.
You will get photos from your tour guide, which are great, but I would suggest to bring a GoPro to get your own photos and videos (you can use it to film all your Hawaiian adventures so it’s well worth the investment
