AWESOME! Our guide was so very knowledgeable about Hawaii, the language, the people and things we saw on the Road to Han

Awesome Day Trip!

This is a “must do” tour, and I would do it again with Mahalo Tours. Rob was our tour guide - very fun AND very professional. We had lots of delicious fruit and snacks along the way and a fantastic lunch at Huli Huli on Koki Beach. The first half of the tour is great, with lots to see in the lush green rainforest and along the oceanside. The second half is more dry and rocky with fewer stops, but I’m glad we got to see the stark differences. My only disappointment was that we didn’t get to go down to the beach at Ho’okipa to see sea turtles basking. My favorite stop was the beautiful Black Sand Beach where we had time to swim/wade and relax. I’m so glad we had great weather and a great driver for this amazing day trip! The small group and hotel pickup were very much appreciated!
Worthwhile Tour Experience- Great Driver
Christina_M, 18-09-2022
Our guide was very knowledgeable both of the area/sites and the Road to Hana. It was a beautiful journey with plenty of stops for pictures, swimming, and food.

The road is full of blind curves and 1-car bridges. I personally could not imagine driving it, but our driver knew exactly what he was doing. My husband and I would do this tour again!
Great way to see Hana!

My wife and I had an awesome time with Mahalo Tours. Our tour guide, Justin (born and raised n Hana), was very knowledgeable (history and geography) and very patient. He took us to all the must stops and didn’t rush us a bit. Our group was able to enjoy swimming in the waterfall and Black Sand Beach. Also, Im so glad I didn’t have to drive that road, just sit back and relax. It was worth it!

Highlight of our trip hands down! Couldn’t have asked for a better guide, Jamie was amazing and is a sweetheart of a person! Wish you guys at mahalo tours all the best!
Worth it !!!
Imelda_L, 10-12-2022
Driver George was a great guide. He knew his Hawaiian history and folklore. Learned a lot. Hana can be self-driven. But if it's your first time, I recommend taking the tour first. Otherwise as a driver you will miss on all the good views
Jamie Tour

Jamie was the most memorable. Maui came alive with her history tales. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Best tour guide ever.
Amazing views to match an amazing experience

The tour itself was very well created. Charlie, Rhonda, and the management team did an excellent job setting the itinerary, and food choices. The hot plated lunch was delicious. Our eccentric van driver Uncle Lou kept us laughing all while driving that crazy road. His stories shared his love for the island and the people. He also was very knowledgeable on the history and openly shared it with us. I felt very connected to the island and the people on this tour. I appreciate having an experienced driver, because while it was very beautiful, the drive was also alittle scary, but I knew I was in safe hands with Uncle Lou at the wheel. Lastly, a thank you to Uncle Russell for putting everything together, it was an amazing experience.
Amazing!

Amazing trip! Kobi the tour guide/driver was WONDERFUL! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Try to get him as your guide. The whole experience was great. Thank you Kobi for sharing all your knowledge about Hawai’i. Please continue to spread your love for Maui.
A wonderful day
william_m, 15-12-2022
The beautiful views were amazing and the waterfall swim was great , but I highly recommend you advise people to wear shoes they don’t mind getting wet because bare feet on slippery rocks is very difficult. Our driver/guide was great.
Long beautiful trip
Vickie_G, 14-12-2022
We had a great guide, it was just a very long day with part of the road rough. He told stories of the cultural and pointed out places of interest. The lunch was delicious.

Fun Day
Mary_K, 04-02-2023
Shelly was a wonderful guide and really knew the history and the people. She was also a safe driver which is important on the road to Hana! We were not aware that the length of the tour would be over 12 hours. That was a very long day which could have been shortened up some. Fun day overall.

Beautiful scenery - heavy commitment
Olivia_N, 05-02-2023
Beautiful scenery along the road to Hana. Our tour guide, Shelley, was fun and had commentary to share for the whole 12 hours. She is very knowledgeable about the area. 620 switchbacks - not good if you feel carsick. 12 hour tour so it makes for a long day.
