About this activity

Lahaina Turtle Town a.k.a. Mala Wharf is our first choice snorkel destination. In 1992 powerful hurricane Iniki destroyed the Mala pier. The remaining posts from the pier have created an artificial reef and sanctuary where corals and other marine life thrive. While snorkeling at Mala Wharf, you’re likely to spot Moorish Idols, Green Sea Turtles, and Saddleback Wrasse. If the snorkel conditions are not ideal at Lahaina Turtle Town the Captain will choose from one of the other premier westside snorkel locations that include Honolua Bay, Airport Beach, and Launiupoko. All of these locations offer excellent opportunity to view the beloved Hawaiian green sea turtles, many varieties of brightly colored tropical fish, and beautiful coral reef formations. During whale season we frequently observe Humpback whales as they enjoy the warm Hawaiian waters! This tour segment will include expert narration and provide a "play-by-play" commentary of the whale behaviors as you view them.

you must do it

this experience was very uncredible. Very safe with many people looking around our safety circle in the water. the crew was serious and very pleasant. A wondefull moment with the tortules we are so happy to have this choice for an unforgettable cruise.

Do it! Great 1/2 day experience

Wonderfully coordinated, on time, friendly and safe staff, great snacks. We had smooth waters so the ride was lovely. The snorkeling was clear water, captain took time to find a good spot. We did see large sea turtles and lots of tropical fish. Zero complaints- reasonable price too. I really likes that is was 45 minutes to find out snorkeling spot, at least an hour snorkeling then snacks and bar drinks for ride back. Fun fun fun

GREAT Tour and Wonderful Staff!

GREAT little tour - loads of fun - great staff. We did the 3-hour turtle town and whale watching experience - and it was pretty great! We saw dolphins on the way out - LOADS of turtles at the snorkle spot - and followed a good sized group of dolphins for probably 45 minutes as well. Really cool way to get in a lot of wildlife in an afternoon adventure. We got really good seats on the upper deck (Get there early for the best seats) and that was certainly helpful also!
