First time anxious surfer rookies to RELAXED rookies on a mission! Mario was an AMAZING instructor that was very informative and encouraging. From beginning to end Mario was teaching us to relax and stay out of our head and not overthink what we were doing! We were able to take on the waves and get up and enjoy every minute!
Mario made for a wonderful instructor! We felt he was invested in us and his passion for the sport was inspirational!

I’m a little late with the review but I had such a great experience surfing during my trip to Maui last week! My instructor was Tomas and he was super nice and helpful while teaching me how to surf! Definitely recommend if you’re wanting to learn how to surf while visiting Maui!
Fun and successful surf lessons

We had a private 2 hr surf lesson for our family of 4, kids ages 8 and 11. We had 2 instructors. They were fantastic with staying with us in the water and keeping a close eye on the kids, especially the younger one. We all got up on waves and surfed the entire time. They were great at coaching us and helping us at all times. We went in the early morning which is what I'd recommend. There were other surf schools running lessons nearby but it was not crowded and made me feel safer that there were in fact other surfers there, both locals on their own and other lesson groups. We bought the photos from Tim who was on the beach; that is separate. Unfortunately we accidentally lost a shoe and I feel terrible about that. I tried to contact to replace it but didn't hear back so instead we donated to a local marine conservation group.

Wow! My 8 yr old son had THE BEST experience with his instructor THOMAS! This was his first ever experience surfing and Thomas knew exactly how to teach him and get him standing up on the board, not just once, but several times throughout the lesson. He had such a great experience he wants to do it more when we return home. We also got some great professional photos from Tim. Really awesome time!
