Extended Horizons dives the Lana’i coastline in small groups of 4 or less. No other dive shop has such amazingly low ratios of dive guide to diver. Lanai is famous for it’s Cathedral Dives, swim-throughs, archways, and lava structures. We dive both First and Second Cathedral on a regular basis. Many divers agree that Lanai diving has the greatest diversity and marine life density, to rival all other diving locations in Hawaii.
Our tour is guided by certified Naturalists and marine biologists. We go SLOW so you see more.
This is a two tank boat trip. We do two dives, at two locations. There are over 40 dives sites to choose from, ranging from beautiful coral reefs, to unique lava tubes, making these dives the best of your vacation!
Between dives we have a warm lunch catered by Chef Marcos from Hungry Coyote. Homemade meals to keep you satisfied.

Excellent diving experience with these folks! We did two gorgeous dives at Lanai (Wash Rock and 2nd Cathedral), with tons of wildlife to watch. Importantly, they do this extremely thorough post dive debriefing where they go in details over everything we saw (see pics). As a biologist, I was in Heaven! Captain Victoria and Gabi are both extremely knowledgeable and happy to share their experience with us, and Brad is on his way to become an awesome guide too. Dive-wise, the pace was great, with plenty of time to appreciate cool fish behaviors. The cherry on top was to see whales and dolphins on our way to the dive spots :) Gabi was on top of everyone’s status at all times and making sure we were OK. I used their steel 100 tank, which was a great option for a bit more air. Their boat runs on biodiesel from recycled cooking oil, and their shop is 100% solar powered. I cannot recommend these folks highly enough, and I’m looking forward to my next dive with them!

Our Dive Master, Brad was exceptional! He was very knowledgeable, and we saw SO much fantastic life! We saw sharks, turtles, eels, octopi and scores of beautiful fish. It was great!

We had an amazing diving experience with our all-girl and all-marine biologist crew from Extended Horizons! Hollis was a great captain that spotted spinner dolphins and made us feel super safe onboard. Shelby and Rachel were great dive instructors with vast knowledge of the underwater life - we felt super safe during our dives with them and they made sure our expectations were not only met but actually exceeded! We were a small group of divers which is exactly what we had hoped for and spotted in numerous amounts of turtles and a white tip reef shark at Mala Pier. We also did the second cathedral at Lanai and the experience was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking - would do it all over again! Mahalo :)

Another fantastic dive experience from Extended Horizons, the only dive operator I will dive with when on Maui.
The staff is super knowledgeable on the dive sites, and gives the most extensive dive site briefings I have ever had. Their dive site briefings go into the layout of the site, what marine life you can normally expect to see at the site, and then they go out of their way to locate and point them out when underwater.
All in all, a much more relaxed and enjoyable dive experience.Highly recommended for divers of all skills.

I have been diving with extended horizons for six years now. Eric and his wife Victoria have always treated me like family. I love the staff at extended horizons Rachel is so experienced in marine biology as well as making you feel safe in and out of the water. I remain very loyal to extended horizons not just because they have amazing Dive Master’s, but Eric and Victoria go out of their way to help you have the best diving experience possible.
The night dive at Black rock should never be missed. Truly epic.! They also run their boats on bio-Fuel and their T-shirts are made out of recycled water bottles. I bought a T-shirt there 3 years ago and it’s still one of the most comfortable. Amazing T-shirts I own. I also love that they have a great sense of humor as well as being very professional and SAFE!! Mahalo and much appreciation from your loyal and silly friend- Michelle D from SB

I always do a thorough vetting before choosing a dive charter because of thr inherent risks of the activity and wanting to get the most out of the dive experience. I found several outfits in Maui but settled on Extended Horizons after looking at comments on multiple platforms (trip adisor, FB, yelp) and was extremely happy with my choice. Our team consisited of Capt Andy , Victoria and Rachel. I cannot say enough about ths team. Their passion for their work is clearly evident and their proffesionalism and attention to safety where clearly on display. The cathedralds did not disappoint and saw an abundance of wildlife that I normally would have swam right past if not for our guides. Living in Florida I am exposed to a lot of dive charters and I can say with out a doubt Extended Horizons is a top notch operation. Staff, equipment, boat were all top notch and well maintained. This wasnt just a dive but really a educational seminar on diving in Maui.

All the staff did everything possible to make the experience for my son and I safe and enjoyable.
Dive masters Rebeca and Victoria very knowledgeable about the dive sites we went to, the fish we where going to see then reviewed after each dive what we did see.
