You enter the water and, after a short surface swim, descend on a condemned pier that has transformed into a vibrant reef. Schools of fish surround the wreckage that has accumulated colorful corals and sponges.
Turtles swim all around in organized chaos as you search for camouflaged frogfish, making it hard to decide where to look. You follow your instructor as they lead you through the obstacle course of the wreck, swimming under and through the old dock where you spot a pregnant reef shark resting under a section of cement and pause to admire her beauty. As you make your way back to your starting point you focus on the multitude of turtles that gracefully soar through the clear water.

Great time for all

Great instructors - went with my daughter and son-in-law (new to scuba) and did the pier walk in dive. Got to see some breath taking sites. Must do when in Maui
MALA WHARF & CATHEDRAL DIVES - spectacular for animals and structures!

Mala wharf and 2 tank cathedral dive with Dive Maui - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.
I haven’t dove in two years so I arrange for the Mueller wharf dive before the 210 cathedral dive. Alex is wonderful! Extremely nice, knowledgeable, and pointed out all the amazing wildlife right under the water at the wharf. Moreover and most importantly, he made me feel 100% safe and secure the entire time. He also got some great pictures under the sea (this is a huge added bonus!). Definitely request Alex if you’re going on this dive!!
The next day, I did the two tank cathedral dive with Abby. Amazing amazing Amazing! The cathedral dome structure underwater that they take you through is absolutely stunning, spectacular, really there are no words - I was in awe! Well, we didn’t see as much wild life on this one, the combination of the two made my diving experience in Maui absolutely the best I’ve had!
Lastly - Derrick at the front is my buddy and so nice, he might be yours too! :) Super knowledgeable, kind and helpful. He helped me select the right dives for me and was so friendly throughout my time with Maui Dive and on Maui in general.
Great time diving with dive maui!

Maya was excellent and super patient! We had an amazing experience. At one point we were surrounded by fifteen sea turtles. We saw an abundance of different kinds of fish. Best diving we have done!
Amazing dive for all levels

This is a must-do dive it was absolutely incredible. Our guide Joe gave us an amazing briefing at the beginning and told us what to expect plus gave us some special hand signals that he would use to point out specific sea life. We saw so many sharks, turtles, eels, and a few other rare things. I would definitely recommend this dive - it was super easy and only took a couple of hours (we have two little ones that we didn't want to stick with the grandparents for too long). We almost wanted to do it again ont the same trip!
Diving with Turtles and Sharks

We had been diving in the FL Keys, consider one of the best spots in the world. To be honest, we need to accept that this dive was not about going deep, was about beauty and diversity. Maiah deliver what she promised, a dive with turtles and sharks.
Really fun dive! Would do AGAIN

It was a very easy shore entrance to a wreck, immediately spotting frog fish. The very next thing we encounter are sleeping white tip reef sharks, about 4-5 ft. We were able to get very close and take magnificent photos and video. Next we arrived at the turtle cleaning station with multiple turtles which swim so close to your face you have to stop moving or you'll run right into them. Gorgeous fish and fun little swim-throughs of the wreck. We tried blowing bubbles under the snorkelers, but you are deep enough down they aren't even noticeable unless you look up. Clean, clear water was comfortable temp. Dive Maui had all the gear we needed in the right sizes the first try. We brought our own masks and snorkels, but they can provide those as well. Please call! They got us booked for a time that wasn't available on their website and it was just us who showed up!
Majestic Mala in Maui

Had an awesome time, took me a while to review so don't recall the name of our guide but he was awesome, very patient and accomodating. Nice small group, just stroll on into the Mala pier wreckage site and within ten minutes you're in an underwater wonderland with majestic and very friendly giant sea turtles all around, spotted a cool blacktip reef shark, many big spotted eels all over the place and just all the types of fish you can imagine (parrot clown trigger angel etc)
Mala Pier Shore dive

I’ve snorkeled at mala pier at least a dozen times. It was great to be able to scuba and stay down there and slow down and just watch everything going on. Maiah was an excellent guide leading us through coral wonders! The shops location to the shore dive makes it extremely easy to dive.
