Transcendent Experience!

Billy took me diving for my first time ever and it was truly out of this world. I was a little nervous at first, but he explained everything in a straightforward and easy-to-follow manner. The skills test was also easy to follow and execute with his guidance. The trickiest part for me was getting used to breathing with the regulator, without access to the surface air. I did have a moment of major doubt in my ability to stay under water for the dive, because it seems like every instinct in your body is telling you that it's unnatural, but Billy was able to transition me into the dive in a gentle, natural progression so that I didn't really think about it anymore. After that it was pretty much the easiest thing in the world, and so freeing to be able to dive without going back to the surface. I always felt safe with him - and in fact your life really is in the hands of your diving instructor so remember to tip them. Moreover, the whole experience gave me a feeling of deep empathy for the life under water that we can't always see, but which we impact. Scuba diving really allows you to fall in love with this whole other world we share a planet with. Words can't describe the visual feast and otherworldly experience afforded by the technical engineering of the equipment and the expertise and care of your driving instructor - you just have to try it. I hope to be able to dive again soon! Mahalo!!!
Great refresher course

Mike did a great job with the refresher dive. I hadn't been diving for 6 years. He was patient and thorough and helped build the confidence to do a follow on dive.

I’m a newly certified diver, and I only get to dive once a year or so. This was my first shore dive, and I’m not gonna lie, I was NOT in the right shape to wade out to the site with all my gear - the shore was really rocky with some very large rocks. Between the weight of the gear, the slippery rocks, and the surf, I definitely needed assistance from our guides. BUT … the guides were rock stars! Mike (poor, poor Mike!) was saddled with a couple of us older women who needed a strong arm to hold onto when we were wading on the rocks - when I tried on my own, I managed to fall a couple of times, and then Mike had to help me up. Super, super embarrassing, but he was such a gentleman.
Once we were underwater, Mike led our group of four all around the wreckage of the old wharf. We saw lots of fish and many sea turtles. So different and fun! Mike was a conscientious guide, checking in on us often, which I always appreciate.
Kevin was super helpful in getting us all suited up, and stamping my dive log. He guided the other group of four divers, and he and Mike worked well together.
All in all, this was a great dive - any issues were 100% my fault, and the guys handled it all with grace. They obviously love their jobs!

Mike (AKA: Dragon) was the best and pointed out a lot of different sea creatures and couldn't have created a better experience for my son for his first time diving. Mike, you made his trip!

Mike from In2Scuba was absolutely phenomenal -- could not have asked for a more fun, helpful and experienced individual to take us through the experience.
Not to mention we saw reef sharks, turtles, mantas and an octopus. My girlfriend and I are going to get certified in the coming months after such a phenomenal first dive.
