About this activity

Speed through the water from Maui to the Molokini Crater for a small-group snorkeling adventure where the underwater visibility often exceeds 180 feet (55 meters)! Spend your morning snorkeling on the wildlife-rich reef off the crater, where fish, rays and other wildlife call home. Next, venture to 'Turtle Town' to swim with the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle! In addition to snorkeling, your five-hour experience includes hot cinnamon rolls and fruit for breakfast breakfast, deli lunch and fabulous Hawaiian views – what better way to spend a day? Currently Hawaii state regulations are 12 passengers but that may change in the future as restrictions ease up.

Itinerary

  1. 1
    Molokini Crater

2 hr - Skip over the waves on a comfortable and speedy military-inspired, eco-friendly raft to the Molokini Crater, where you will snorkel with tropical fish, rays and various other wildlife. As the first boat to arrive at the crater, the waters will be uncrowded. Here, you'll also enjoy a delicious continental breakfast. Water visibility at this prime diving and snorkeling spot often reaches 180 feet (55 meters)! If you need a break, relax on the boat’s comfy pontoons and soak up the sun. After snorkeling in the crater, head to the backside of Molokini Crater, a place many people rarely see, for another snorkeling experience.

  2. 2
    Keawakapu Beach

On your way to your final snorkeling destination, 'Turtle Town,' hug the Maui coastline and view the island’s most recent lava flow on the way to beautiful La Perouse Bay. The bay is a natural habitat for the Hawaiian spinner dolphin, so keep a look out and get your camera ready!

  3. 3
    Redline Rafting Co.

30 min - The Kihei Boat Ramp is where we depart from and return to. We are one of the first boats to Molokini because we can get there faster than most boats so you will have plenty of pristine time to snorkel.

  4. 4
    La Perouse Bay

1 hr - At 'Turtle Town,' jump in the water and swim with the friendly Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles! After snorkeling with the turtles, refuel with a deli lunch before heading back to Maui.

Best 70th Birthday trip ever

David and Carol Bakowicz 74 and 70 had the best time snorkeling at the Molokini Crater on the five hour trip... We were on Boat 1 with Captain Tony and first mate Jake... The safety briefing was concise and designed to instill respect for the ocean but sill to not be afraid to have the best time... Food was great... day was perfect...visibility was 150 to 250 straight down...favorite spot was the "Elevator" where the swell rose up the rock face 15-20 feet... floatation offered..equipment fabulous..we tipped 40,00 but to the crew of boat 2 who promised to forward... great trip... we found them reading a stopped video where the pick-up truck said RedLine!! They need to advertise better for the quality of their trip is exceptional...September trip

Extremely professional and fun!

Epic trip! Captain Tim and Zach did an excellent job. We got to see more than I expected. Snorkeling multiple spots. The surf was up and Tim did an awesome job finding up spots where we could see everything. Thank you gentlemen for the amazing snorkeling trip.

Wow.

We saw an octopus! Great boat, great crew, and Molokini was one of our two favorite snorkel spots on Maui. If you’re a drunk, you’ll love the trip back. Open bar. They won’t even tell your sponsor. You can tip via Venmo.

Can't miss experiencce

This was my third time with them. Every time seems to get better. Captain Tim and First Mate Ali were fun, informative and made a great team. Have already booked the next trip when I am back in the spring.

All-around awesome!

From start to finish, this trip was well organized, well executed, entertaining and informative. Tim and Ari were awesome, and the sites they chose (four) were amazing. We learned a lot!

Great time

Always great time at red line. Third time going over the last 10 years. Always courteous and first boat to Molokini. Get to both sides and then turtle beach. Captain “surfed” the larger waves we had this time and was fun. Was windy but not a problem for the captain at all.
