Nice time. Paddled out past waves. Not much action but enjoyed being on the water. Highlight was paddling to an area where many turtles swam around us and breached for air. Up close views of the turtles.

Ryan was great, very informative, patient and attentive. We have never kayaked before so we were a little nervous but Ryan made us feel very comfortable.

Great kayaking trip! Booking was easy here on TripAdvisor - I did it two days before our excursion. There was parking across the street, and Maui Ocean Sports was easy to find in the back of the complex. The front desk guy and our guide, Luke, were super friendly. Our group of 4 and the other group of 3 in our time slot had all kayaked before, so we got minimal instruction. We saw so many turtles on our paddle out! It was beautiful on the water and we had the best time! They provide water and you can borrow a dry bag if you don’t have one, and leave stuff in a cabinet - we left towels and a change of clothes (restroom on the property and place to rinse right off the beach).

This was an awesome experience. The guide made us feel safe and welcome. My friend had never kayaked and by the end, she wanted to do it again. We saw monk seals and lots of turtles

Tree was our guide and he was fantastic. Very welcoming environment in the shop when we arrived in the morning. Awesome paddle —we saw many sea turtles and even a sea lion! Highly recommend!

Our favorite activity in Maui!

Ryan, our guide was patient with us as we are only mildly experienced paddlers. He led us out with expertise and we were able to see several whales up fairly close, amazing, once in a lifetime experience from that perspective! We also saw turtles, black sharks and a spiny sea urchin Ryan found for us! All in all, it was fun exercise and an absolutely wonderful day!

Fantastic experience. We saw sea turtles, a monk seal, and whales. Ryan, our guide kept an eye on us to ensure our safety and was knowledgeable about the area and ocean inhabitants we did and did not encounter. I am a novice paddler though felt safe and energized. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend it. Thank you Ryan and Maui Ocean Sports!

We had a great paddle. We did the ocean kayak tour and it was incredible. Our tour guide gave us lots of history of Maui and indigenous inhabitants of the islands. He made the less experienced paddlers feel very comfortable on the open ocean.

Ryan was a wonderful guide. He gave us all the tools to be safe and informed as well as providing us with some history of Hawaii. Well worth taking 2 hours to get some exercise, see the ocean wild life and surround yourself in beauty.
