Explore Maui's least crowded dive sites with a safe, dedicated guide. We provide excellent equipment for our guests and gear rental is included. Certification is REQUIRED and must be presented upon arrival.
Has it been awhile since your last dive? Join us at 8:30 for a Scuba Review for extra cost. Your instructor will go over equipment assembly, safety checks, and you will practice a few short skills at the beginning of the dive. Please book the Scuba Review Upgrade option if you prefer a refresher.
After your dive briefing and gear selection, you will receive driving directions to the dive site. Please let us know if you will NOT have a rental car.

While scuba diving involves minimal physical contact with guests, your immediate safety is our first priority. Thus, we are unable to promise consistent social distancing during your dive experience. All gear is sanitized before and after use.
Certified Divers Only
Divers must wait minimum 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more.
Guides required to regularly wash hands
Must be able to carry minimum 30lbs of equipment on your back for a short distance.

Wonderful experience with Banyan Tree Divers. I hadn’t been in the water for over 5 years after a scary experience, and Kevin/Caitlin (owners) were super welcoming and understanding. Mike, the instructor, was exactly what I needed — patient, kind, enthusiastic and earnest in his desire to help me feel comfortable. I love that this is a family/friend-owned and operated venture (the headquarters are the owners’ house!) where they take as much time as needed to explain the dive, ensure safety and comfort, and genuinely have fun.
As for the dives themselves, loved getting to see sharks and a ton of turtles!! Highly recommend Banyan Tree Divers.

I couldn’t be happier about my dives with Banyan Tree Today! Michael is a real pro and super dive leader. Whether you’re an experienced diver, new to the sport, or certified, but haven’t dove in ages, Michael is the best instructor/leader you could ask for. Patient, clear, calm, experienced, supportive. The dives were just what I’d hoped for— great visibility, warm water. Saw lots of turtles and a couple of white-tipped reef sharks. Highly recommended!!

WOW. just wow! Abby took us out yesterday for two private shore dives, and it was the most incredible day! her knowledge of diving and safety practices were top notch, she is so fun, she knows all the spots, and BEST of all-- her photography is INCREDIBLE! we have SO many photos that we will cherish forever from our day in the under water world - we saw over 30 species of fish and like 20 turtles. absolutely incredible day! we love you Banyan and Abby!!!

Banyon Tree Divers Maui will make wonderful undersea memories for you in Maui, Hawaii. Dive Master Jen was incredibly attentive to safety and detail, thoughtful of creating a great dive experience, and very knowledgeable of the sea. You definitely want to support this local family-run business. You also want to ensure you get them to take all the pictures so you can immerse yourself in the undersea dive experience in Hawaii. I'm in Canada and these folks are definitely Canadian-friendly. I would definitely recommend ALL Canadians who want a great dive experience to use Banyon Tree Divers Maui.
An incredible dive experience - and so many turtles!

The diving experience was incredible. Our instructor, Abby, took us to two wonderful locations and guided us through two amazing dives. Before each dive, she explained the conditions and what to look out for. Seeing all sorts of fish, sharks, octopus, eels and over 20 turtles was an experience like no other. The second dive in the afternoon was truly the best dive I've ever been part of. I would recommend everyone reach out to Banyan Tree Divers for their diving experience in Maui - they will be very happy they did. You will have memories for a lifetime.
Easy & Fun Shore Dives

Made a re-certification beach dive with Banyan Tree Divers. Well organized, good equipment & good teaching & tips. Our 2nd dive at Mala pier in Lahaina was great - like a wreck dive. Frogfish, shark, many turtles, eels. The sound of Humpback Whale talking to each other was very cool.
Amazing Turtle Experience

This was one of the best 2 dives I've ever done (and I dove in the Bahamas with sharks in 2011)! We saw so many turtles on the second dive, they were so magical! Banyan Tree Divers were so easy to work with and our dive guide was so patient and knowledgeable with all of us! I've been diving for 24 years but took an 11 year break because I had 5 children and couldn't dive. I will definitely be contacting Banyan Tree for more diving in the future, hopefully sooner than 11 years! Highly recommend to others to go with these guys! Also get the photography package! I got so many amazing pictures, a lot of me with the beautiful sea life which you don't get when you're the photographer.
