Enjoy this 2-hour guided adventure in a high-speed catamaran to watch the whales in their natural habitat. Depending on the whales’ behavior during your whale watching trip, you may see the whales slapping the surface with pectoral fins (their very long side fins), flukes (the tail), the peduncle (the strong muscles attaching the tail to the rest of the body) and the breach, this is when the whale rises completely out of the water and crashes down again.

The staff were kind and friendly and information on history of Maui by Captain was very informative! We did see a few whales and were able to get some awesome pictures. Would recommend this activity.
Fun experience

Even though it was early in the whale watching season (early December), our tour spotted two pairs of whales and a pod of spinnaker dolphins. It was a beautiful day out on the water. The crew was great and the pilot Heather provided lots of information during the trip.

The number of whales we saw was impressive! The host was very informative and welcoming, complimentary water to keep everyone fresh. They also had a bar on board if you wanted something other than water.
Success

The main reason for this rating was that we were successful in seeing quite a few whales: breaching, tail flapping, etc. The tour was two hours and the only thing prior to seeing the whales were some small dolphins. The catamaran was crowded and we miscalculated how large it was and how many people it carried (100). We had good weather and Captain Heather provided excellent commentary.
