Paddle out on a guided tour over majestic coral heads in search of Maui's vast array of sea life. The bottom of the clear kayak magnifies the reef and all of the creatures below you. Pontoon attachments make the kayaks almost impossible to tip and impossible to sink. All tours are small and intimate with only 10 guests per guide. Fun for the whole family. Beginners welcome.
From December to April you can expect to see the Humpback Whales that migrate here for breeding.
As a premium tour company you can expect the best quality equipment. Our kayaks were recently manufactured. Life vests are sized to the guest. Rash guards, sunscreen and dry bags are provided at no extra cost. Our guides are CPR trained, passionate about conservation and have a deep understanding of the flora and fauna you will encounter while on your tour.
We are the only kayaking for charity company on Maui. Every seat booked helps support UHMC!

What To Expect
Maui
Paddle out into the Alalakeiki Channel with our experienced and knowledgeable guides. As you glide across our beautiful reefs the clear kayak acts as one big snorkel mask that magnifies the reef below. With a vast array of wildlife you never know what you will see like octopus, eels, sea turtles, manta rays, seals and schools of fish like the humuhumunukunukuapua'a just to name a few. Our professional photographer and drone operator on shore not only bring peace of mind by being an eye in the sky but are there to capture once in a lifetime moments as you, your friends and family experience the beauty Maui has to offer up close and personal. Photo/video package with drone and go pro footage available for an extra fee. We provide long sleeve rashguard, reef safe sunscreen, refillable water bottle with ice cold R/O water, dry bag, bananas/granola while on the water and fresh cut local pineapple on your return to the shore.

We had a great time on the chill ride with the transparent kayak and learned a lot about the island.
After kayaking we went to snorkeling and had a lot of time left to find some awesome creatures. Sadly we weren‘t able to see some turtles :(
The guys are lovely and really nice! We recommend the tour highly!

Although the trade winds and the rain kept us from being able to experience this activity, we appreciated the careful decisions that were made in order to insure our safety. We were looking forward to this excursion because of the wonderful reviews but were certainly appreciative that participant safety was the number one concern. We received a personalized phone call to check about rescheduling but unfortunately we were at the end of our vacation. We received our money back without any problem. We will definitely book this again next time!

We had such a fun time kayaking and snorkeling with Gabriel’s Ohana! We spent part of our honeymoon in Maui and this was by far one of the greatest highlights of our trip. Thank you to Jason (the owner) and Joseph for taking us out into the ocean - we were fortunate enough to have beautiful, clear weather and calm oceans, ideal for kayaking and snorkeling. While kayaking, we heard amazing stories about the island’s history and really enjoyed getting to know Jason through his many funny personal anecdotes. In between kayaking and snorkeling, we shared a Maui gold pineapple - such a treat! It was our first time snorkeling and Jason and Joseph were there to guide us the entire time. They showed us some incredible wildlife, including big sea turtles, parrot fish, box fish, sea cucumbers, sea urchin (uni), a prickly starfish (forgot the name!), all kinds of beautiful and vibrant coral, and even an eagle ray! Jason’s son Gabriel looked after our belongings the entire time we were out in the ocean and we were so appreciative. They all showed us so much aloha, treated us like family, gave us many insider tips/food recommendations and we could not have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Gabriel’s Ohana!

Loved this kayaking trip. Jason was prepared with everything - sunscreen, rash guards, water and snacks - you could tell he really cared about his customers. We went out with Gabriel while Jason watched our cars on the shore. Gabriel was a fantastic guide - he is well versed on nature, Hawaiian history, and he was constantly checking in with us on how we were doing. This was a very relaxed trip -- we didn't go super far, but that was OK because we could spend the time looking in the water and learning about things from Gabriel. It is a great trip if you happen to be a beginner. I had checked out a few other kayaking places, but without pontoons, you can't have a combined weight over 400 lbs., which my husband and I went over just a bit. But the pontoons with Gabriel's stabilized us and we had a most enjoyable trip. This is a family-owned business, our group only had one other couple, and you really got personalized attention.

This tour was fantastic!!! Listened to very informative stories of Hawaii’s history; past & present; and, saw amazing sights in the water!! Plus, Jason was beyond accommodating! I have kayaked during my past stays in Hawaii but, clear kayaking is by far the best way to go when your in the middle of the pacific!!

we had a group of 6 gabriel and jason were so patient with us. i wasn’t a experienced swimmer nor kayaker and gabriel made sure i had a great time and was by my side when i needed help. we saw sea turtles, whales & many fishes! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH. you can tell they love what they do, book a tour with them if you’re staying in maui :). clear kayak is so much better because you get to see the bottom of the ocean.

Definitely had a great experience. We were able to see 3 whales an hour into kayaking. Gabriel’s crew was so patient in teaching us newbies how to maneuver our kayaks. lol
