Fabulous chocolate. The tasting was led by the founder of Maui Chocolate. He was informative and entertaining and provided some wonderful chocolates.

We had done the farm tour a few days before. The rest of our party joined us in Maui later in the week and we suggested doing the chocolate tasting, they unenthusiastically agreed to join us. We did the wine and chocolate paring which was excellent especially with port. Everyone had such a great time listing to the history and production details presented by the owner Gunars. We tasted may tyoes of pure and flavored choclate all of which was over the top. The best chocolate my wife and I have ever had. We purchased a set of many bars to host a tasting party over the holiday with guests. Can't wait to share with our friends and family. Our friends went back again before they left Hawaii. I would highly recommend both the farm tour and the tasting.

There were five of us to go on this tour, and a=many weren't necessarily really excited about it before hand, but every single one of us enjoyed this informative and most delicious hour learning about chocolate; how it's made, how to eat it and what to eat/drink with it. We'll definitely be back next time we are on island, and have already recommended it to several friends who are traveling there soon. We'll likely upgrade our experience to include the tour of the farm next time.
Chocolate tasting experience

Highly enjoyable tasting experience in a small group setting. This was held in their open air tasting room by the owner of the business, who told us many interesting stories behind the making of each chocolate as we tasted. This experience reminded me of a wine tasting in Napa. Each chocolate was unique in flavor, and we learned how to ingredients and cacao beans were processed to create these flavors.
There is an option to purchase drink pairings as well - this definitely added to our experience.
There was a group of young children that were highly disruptive on our tasting experience. Not the fault of the company or the tour, but I would not recommend this as an activity for young children.
