Most memorable part of our trip!
My friend and I were lucky to have Xavier to ourselves since we were the only ones to book that morning. Xavier was well prepared with all of the equipment needed, shared reef safe sunscreen with us, and provided clear training prior to getting into our 2 person kayak with our snorkeling gear. He showed us some pictures of certain types of fish we may see before getting in as well. Xavier shared a lot of interesting facts and stories with us which we really enjoyed! He was patient, kind, and we had an amazing time experiencing the ocean in snorkeling gear for the first time in our lives! He took really cool photos of fish for us, and of us, with a sea turtle, which was sent to us via email several hours after the tour. We felt safe the entire time with Xavier's expertise. I would highly recommend doing this kayak & snorkeling tour with Tropical Guides & Outfitters! Mahalo, Xavier!

Phenomenal Snorkel Tour
BOOK THIS TOUR! Nature did its thing and ultimately our original date was not good for kayaking and snorkeling. Our guide, Xavier, was super gracious about informing us of the risks and took the time to reschedule our tour and accommodate our schedule! I am so grateful for their flexibility and even more thankful that we were able to go. This is easily my favorite snorkeling tour that I’ve ever done. I’ve snorkeled in El Nido, Coron, and Bantayan in the Philippines, and this experience tops them all. I really appreciated Xavier giving us a quick rundown on safety, kayaking, snorkeling, and fish! Usually when I’m snorkeling I’m wondering what fishes I’m even looking at, but Xavier had a cheat sheet of sorts before we kayaked out so I could make sense of it all! Xavier was phenomenal. He is a local and absolutely knows the Oluwalu reef very, very well. He guided us through the reefs in a loop and there were hundreds of fish, a solid handful of turtles, and beauuuuutiful reef structures. I also loved the knowledge Xavier provided about the wildlife and Hawaiian culture! I did this tour with my husband on our honeymoon and not only did we get an intimate tour (just us two), we also got spectacular pictures within hours of completing the tour! I have zero complaints and only great things to say about this tour and Xavier. If you’re unsure, book now!

Amazing excursion!
Our guide Xavier was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He was attentive, kind, and engaging. It was an amazing excursion that we will never forget!!

great chill trip
The two guys who run this are funny and have tons of local info they share on the trip. Much more relaxed and entertaining than a big group trip. They showed us a few awesome things underwater that we would've missed otherwise (saw sea turtles, eels, tons of tropical fish, etc) They also got some great pictures of wildlife and of us! Pretty cool guys to chill and kayak with.

Highlight of our Trip
My husband and I had an amazing tour with Javier as our kayak and snorkel guide. He took us on a tour with only one other couple, so it was very personal and enlightening. My husband was a hesitant at first, but he went for it and had an amazing time and experience ringing in his 60th Birthday! Javier is incredible, very patient and kind. He tells the stories of the land, sea and the people. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about marine life and the Hawaiian culture and traditions, where you don't take more than you need and the ocean is the islands life source. This was the highlight of our trip!

First time and exhilarating
Exploring marine lifeby snorkeling and kayaking first time in the ocean...exhilarating experience..Thank U to Javier for making all this happen..He is a very patient Guide and so pleasant to talk to...would recommend him by giving him 5 stars..
